heys.
yesterday was valentine's day. i met up with my sis to shop at orchard. from 530pm to 915pm, we covered the entire far east plaza and heeren. though we had in mind what we wanted to buy, we ended up only buying a pair of shoes each. mine was a slipper cum sandel. that's what people said cos it looked.. unique. haha.. it was so tiring ah.

i'll be MIA for one week starting from tmr. SERVE's having a mission trip, if you could call it a mission trip cos this year, we'll be doing missions in Singapore instead of going overseas. but its ok la. missions gotta start at home right? for my group, we'll be staying in st andrew's village. will remind me of the youth camp we just had last year. we'll be sleeping in the air-conditioned room with lots of double decked beds. :) we'll to partnering 2 churches: church of the epiphany and st john-st margaret church for one of their services, paint a 2 room flat in jalan besar and doing missions at st george's place. i've never heard of st george's place but apparently, it's a crisis centre for women and children. we'll be cooking dinner and having dinner with them and playing games. haha.. should be quite interesting. and every night we'll be spending 45 mins journalling and praying. woahh.. haha.. i've never spent that time before. hopefully i can be able to make it a lifestyle even after this trip. :)

i went for the cny concert at singapore indoor stadium today. then this old time singer, cai qing. woahh.. she is one commanding lady. this was what happened. she was singing some songs. then before her third song, she wanted the audience to clap to the beat. then she made the different blocks to compete in terms of volume and enthusiasm. ting ting was saying instead of her entertaining us, we were made to entertain her. anyway, we were clapping and clapping and suddenly she said,"YOU! the one in pink sitting on the first row!" and before we knew it, the camera was focused on her. "why weren't you clapping??" and i tell you, the girl looked so embarrassed. then cai qing pressured her to stand up and clap by herself la. wah seh.. so scary lor. it's just clapping. what's the big deal? good thing i wasn't sitting on the first row lor. cos 1 minute before all the clapping thing started, i fell asleep. haha.. :P

i got back my o'level results yesterday. there are no words to express my elation. and i really praise God for my set of results. i couldn't ask for more. i feel that God had showered me with so much grace and it was a big bonus from God that i'd gotten a raw score of 9 for my o's. i totally didn't expect that single digit and i would have been alright with a 14 or 15 because i've got to be realistic. i've never gotten below 20 in my whole life. in fact, i think its was my prelim results of 23 which freaked me out and pushed me to really mug hard for my o's. i really want to thank God for helping me through. :)

anyway the top scorer was chow wen xin from cedar! she's in 4/o. with 11 a1s. crap la this type of people. haha.. average msg for our school was better than the previous batch. :) woo hoo! cedar rocked and will rock always! heh.. :P

we had our chapel service at fairfield methodist secondary school today. the skit was really funny arh. in comparison to their skit, i think ours is pretty dry. especially when i'm acting in it. wahaha.. ok. i'm so discouraging. :P

i was sweeping the floor just now. out of my own initiative. haha.. cos i couldn't stand how dirty the floor is. anyway, that's not the point. i sweeped and sweeped until i had backache la. and i finally swept everything into the dustpan and threw the rubbish away. ok so, i went back into my room and saw a clump of hair and some dust particles on the floor. pretty frustrated, i went back to get the sweep, making sure i've got all the dust and hair swept away and put the sweep back. and when i went back to my room again, there are dust particles again, only in a different position! how freaky is that?! ok, actually i'm feeling more irritated at the dust. seriously, it's insane la. i really sweep everything and i double sweep somemore. and the dust are just trying to be funny. what a waste of my energy.
lesson learnt: next time i shall use a vacuum cleaner.

week 6 is a busy week. with the chapel service at both st margs and fairfield during the week. on saturday, there's small group outing. we might be going to settlers. but it's not confirmed yet. then, there's cny concert @ indoor stadium usher briefing and on sunday, when i'll have the ushering duties, i might be missing charlie and cheryl's 10th wedding anniversary in church. after that, the guys are going to have soccer competition with bethesda methodist missions centre (i think that's what it's called) and the girls are going down to support. haha.. sounds fun but i might miss it too. :( and most importantly, o's results are coming out this week! and i still don't know which day its going to be out. will they stop keeping us in suspense already and just get it over with?

i tried tennis for the first time in my life today. haha.. and i seriously sucked at it. hit 3 balls out onto the road la. its so tough to play tennis and i think darren and daniel are really pro at it.

hmm.. i don't think the results are likely to be out on monday. there are lots of rumours going around saying that it'll be out on friday. and i've a friend whose friend went to call moe to ask and he said its going to be released in mid-feb and not on week 6. don't know how reliable are these information. i'm not going to take any of these speculations seriously until the date has been made official la. hais.. so confusing.

xu en went off england last night. he's going there to study for 4 months. a whole bunch of us went to send him off. hope that he'd arrived safely. 15 hours flight.. should probably reach south hampton by now. so exciting la. london is the home of lots of world renown writers and rich in history and monuments. i wanna go there someday too.

this week had been very hectic. excluding the cny holidays.
mon: i had visitation.
tue: i slacked most of the day until during th evening when i went to watch memoirs of a geisha
with xl, dy, sien, siyuan and joanne. its pretty good but i think its a little bit draggy.
wed: serve.
thurs: serve. went st margs pri to check out the place. then to airport. i was so completely zonked out from fatigue.
fri: serve. church attachment. youth worship ministry meeting.
sat (coming): swimming/tennis. youth fellowship. probably gonna hang out and have dinner.
sun (coming): sunday service. hosting to sopheap, a cambodian pastor who's coming to singapore to stidy for a while. netball.

i'm not trying to show off what a busy social life i'm having now. haha.. seriously. but i realise that i'm up and around from the moment i wake up in the morning like practically everyday. and by the time i get home and bathe, it's pretty late and i'm really tired out, that i can't commit much time to really spend time with God at the end of the day. i think i really gotta slow things down arh.
